It is the same 7 kW single-phase station from the THOR range, but in the version with attached cable. The difference is felt every day: you no longer carry the cable in the boot and no longer open the car to take it out, you just plug in the connector hanging on the station. It is the natural choice for a garage or a private yard, where the station is always used by the same people.

The supply is 230 V AC, the maximum output current 32 A, and the power reaches 7 kW. The fixed cable is 5 m long, which comfortably covers a car parked facing forwards or backwards. The four working modes give you control over the cost: Fast for maximum speed, PV Linkage for charging from the surplus of the Growatt panels, Off-peak for the night tariff hours and Load balancing, which automatically reduces the current when the rest of the house consumes a lot. The session is started from the app, by simply plugging in or with an RFID card, and the station has a status LED and an emergency stop button. The IP65 enclosure allows outdoor installation, between -25 and +50 °C, with a standby consumption below 8 W. The overall size is 240 x 380 x 164 mm, and the weight 9.5 kg, higher than in the socket version precisely because of the attached cable; mounting is done on the wall or, optionally, on a floor pole.

Terms explained

• Fixed (attached) cable: The charging cable is permanently mounted on the station, so it no longer has to be carried in the car and connected at both ends every time.
• Off-peak: Scheduling the charging during the reduced tariff intervals, usually at night, so that you pay less for the same energy.
• RCD: The protection that cuts off the supply within fractions of a second if a current leakage appears, in order to prevent electrocution.

Growatt THOR 07AS-P-V1 is the version with attached cable of the 7 kW single-phase station from the THOR range. The supply is 230 V AC at 50/60 Hz, the maximum output current is 32 A, and the charging power reaches 7 kW. Compared with the "S" version (with socket), this variant includes a fixed 5 m cable with a Type 2 plug according to IEC 62196-2, which means direct connection to the car, without a separate cable to carry around.

The station has protections against overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, short circuit, overtemperature and lightning, an internal RCD and 6 mA DC fault current detection.
