Growatt THOR 11AS-S

Growatt THOR 11AS-S is the charging station for homes with a three-phase connection. It charges the car roughly three times faster than the single-phase version, has a screen where you can see what is happening and starts either from the phone or with a card you hold near the unit. The cable is not attached: you use your own cable, and the station stays clean and protected between charges.

The 11 kW mean that overnight you can put around 70-80 kWh into the car, that is practically a full battery even on an electric SUV (rough estimate, depending on the car and on the charging time). The Load balancing mode follows the house consumption and automatically reduces the charging current so that you do not exceed the contracted power, the PV Linkage mode charges from the surplus of a Growatt photovoltaic system, and Off-peak postpones charging to the cheap time slots. The IP65 enclosure allows outdoor mounting as well, at temperatures between -25 and +50 degrees C, and at rest the station consumes under 8 W. It weighs 10 kg, measures 240 x 380 x 164 mm and is fixed to a wall or to an optional floor pole; RFID cards are useful when the same station is used by several people.

Growatt THOR 11AS-S-V1 is the three-phase 11 kW AC charging station of the THOR range, supplied at 400 V a.c. / 50-60 Hz, with a maximum output current of 16 A per phase. The "S" version has a Type 2 socket according to IEC 62196-2 built into the unit, so it is used with the driver's own cable; it has no fixed attached cable.

The unit includes full protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, short circuit, overtemperature and lightning, plus residual current protection with 6 mA d.c. detection and internal RCD. The IP65 enclosure allows indoor and outdoor mounting, at temperatures between -25 and +50 °C, humidity 5-95% non-condensing and altitudes below 2000 m; cooling is natural, and standby consumption is under 8 W. Dimensions are 240 x 380 x 164 mm, and weight 10 kg. Mounting is on a wall or on a floor pole (optional).

The station has an LCD screen, a status LED and an emergency stop button. Charging is authorised via app, Plug&Charge or RFID card. Communication is via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, with optional 4G module, and OCPP 1.6 protocol for integration into charging networks. The operating modes are Fast, PV Linkage (using the photovoltaic surplus for charging with 100% renewable energy), Off-peak and intelligent Load balancing, which limits the current so as not to exceed the contracted power.
