Inverter-Battery communication cable Pytes
Without this cable the battery and the inverter do not talk to each other. It transmits the state of charge and the battery limits; RJ45-RJ45, 3.5 m on the Pytes V5 B2I version.
A pair of 2 m cables with a large cross-section, 50 mm², which lets the battery work at maximum current. Amphenol 8 mm on the battery, M10 lug at the inverter or at the DC busbar.
These are the two thick cables that carry the current between the Pytes V5 alpha battery and the inverter, one on the plus and one on the minus. They come cut to length and with the ends fitted at the factory, so there is no more working with crimping tools on site. The thicker the cable, the less it heats up and the less voltage it loses on the way, just like a wider pipe through which water flows without being throttled.
Each cable is roughly 2 m long and has a cross-section of 50 mm², appreciably larger than the 25 mm² of the kit for the V5, which allows the battery to be used at its maximum current without any risk margin. The V5 alpha module is a LiFePO4 battery of 51.2 V and 100 Ah, that is 5.12 kWh, with integrated heating that starts automatically in cold environments and allows charging even below freezing, so it makes sense in mountain houses, garages or unheated outbuildings. The maximum continuous charge and discharge current is 100 A, with short-term peaks above this value. The battery-side end uses the 8 mm Amphenol Surlok Plus connector, the same as on the V5, so the set works on both models, and the inverter-side end is fixed with an M10 screw. When several modules are connected in parallel, identical cables with low resistance distribute the current evenly between them, which keeps the batteries at the same level of stress.
Set of two prefabricated cables of approx. 2 m each, cross-section 50 mm², Amphenol Surlok Plus 8 mm terminal on the battery side and M10 ring lug on the inverter or DC busbar side, system voltage 51.2 V DC nominal. Compatible with the Pytes V5 and V5 alpha modules, LiFePO4 100 Ah / 5.12 kWh, maximum continuous charge and discharge current 100 A, with short-term peaks above this value, since both variants use the same type of 8 mm Amphenol terminal. The increased cross-section reduces the voltage drop and the heating at high currents, while the factory-made terminals ensure a low and repeatable contact resistance, essential for balancing the currents in installations with modules in parallel. Communication with the inverter is carried out separately, over CAN or RS485.
Suitable for installations that use the battery at maximum current or that connect several modules in parallel, including in cold spaces, where the V5a uses the integrated heating.

The kit contains the power cables for connecting the Pytes V5 alpha (V5a) battery module to the hybrid inverter or to the DC busbar. The set comprises two cables of approximately 2 m each, one for the positive pole and one for the negative pole, both prefabricated and terminated at the factory.
The conductor cross-section is 50 mm2, appreciably larger than on the kit for the V5, which reduces the voltage drop and the heating at high currents and allows the battery to be used at maximum current without any risk margin. The battery-side terminal is the 8 mm Amphenol Surlok Plus connector used on the Pytes V5 and V5a terminals, and the inverter-side terminal is an M10 ring lug, dimensioned for the power terminals of hybrid inverters and for DC busbars.
The V5a module is the version with integrated heating of the Pytes platform of 51.2 V and 100 Ah (5.12 kWh), which starts automatically in cold environments and allows charging below freezing. The maximum continuous charge and discharge current is 100 A, with short-term peaks above this value, and communication with the inverter is over CAN or RS485.
The set is compatible with both the V5 and the V5 alpha modules, since both use the same type of 8 mm Amphenol terminal. The prefabricated cables eliminate on-site crimping and ensure a low and repeatable contact resistance, essential for the correct balancing of the currents when several modules are connected in parallel.
