Inverter-Battery communication cable Pytes
Without this cable the battery and the inverter do not talk to each other. It transmits the state of charge and the battery limits; RJ45-RJ45, 3.5 m on the Pytes V5 B2I version.
The same solar cable, in black, for the minus pole of the panel strings: 6 mm², type H1Z2Z2-K, 1.5 kV DC, ultraviolet resistant, on a 500 m drum.
It is the black counterpart of the 6 mm² solar cable, identical in construction to the red version. The convention in photovoltaic installations is simple: red for the plus pole, black for the minus pole, so that anyone who later comes to the installation immediately sees what connects where. Like the red version, it stays installed outdoors, on the roof structure, exposed to sun, rain and frost, and has tinned copper wires so that they do not oxidise over time.
The conductor is flexible, so it is easily routed along the mounting profiles and through the bends under the panels, where space is tight. It withstands 90 °C on the conductor in normal operation and 250 °C for a maximum of 5 seconds in case of a short circuit, and in the cold it goes down to -40 °C in fixed and protected installations. The material resists ultraviolet radiation and ozone, does not propagate flame, produces little smoke and releases no halogenated gases in case of fire - an important argument on buildings with public access. Bought together with the red drum, it gives you all the direct current wiring from a single batch of material, with the same electrical characteristics and the same ageing resistance on both polarities. The 500 m drum format is cut to length directly on site, which reduces the number of splices and the consumption of connectors.
Single-core cable 6 mm², type H1Z2Z2-K according to EN 50618 / IEC 62930, conductor of tinned electrolytic copper class 5 (flexible) according to EN 60228, insulation and sheath of halogen-free cross-linked elastomer. Rated voltage 1.5/1.5 (1.8) kV DC and 1/1 kV AC. Maximum conductor temperature 90 °C in continuous operation (120 °C for 20,000 h), 250 °C maximum 5 s at short circuit, minimum service temperature -40 °C in fixed and protected installations. Fire behaviour: flame non-propagation according to EN 60332-1-2, halogen-free.
Suitable for any photovoltaic installation where the negative pole of the strings is wired, from residential systems to parks, and it is bought as a pair with the red drum.

Generic product — standard specifications
The black version of the 6 mm2 solar cable on a 500 m drum, identical in construction to the red version and made to the H1Z2Z2-K type (EN 50618 / IEC 62930). The conductor is of tinned electrolytic copper, class 5 (flexible) according to EN 60228, with sufficient flexibility for routing on the mounting structure and through the bends under the panels.
The insulation and sheath of halogen-free cross-linked elastomer withstand 90 °C on the conductor in continuous operation and 250 °C for a maximum of 5 seconds at short circuit, with a minimum service temperature of -40 °C. The material is resistant to UV and ozone according to EN 50618 and does not propagate flame, with reduced smoke emission and no halogenated gases in case of fire.
The rated voltage is 1.5/1.5 (1.8) kV DC and 1/1 kV AC. The black colour conventionally marks the negative pole of the string. The red-black pair on the same drum allows the complete execution of the DC wiring from a single batch of material, with the same electrical characteristics and the same ageing resistance on both polarities.
The 500 m drum format is intended for sites and installers who cut to length in the field, reducing the number of splices and the consumption of connectors.
