Inverter-Battery communication cable Pytes
Without this cable the battery and the inverter do not talk to each other. It transmits the state of charge and the battery limits; RJ45-RJ45, 3.5 m on the Pytes V5 B2I version.
The same black 4 mm² solar cable, on a 500 m drum: you cut exactly what you need, with less waste. 1.5 kV DC, -40...90 °C, TUV and AENOR certified.
It is the cable through which the current produced by the panels reaches the inverter, delivered on a large drum, of 500 metres. The black colour marks by convention the minus pole of the panel string. Being a cable that stays outdoors for decades, in sun and frost, its insulation is of special rubber, not of ordinary indoor plastic.
The 500 m format is designed for installers and building sites: you cut exactly the length needed for each string, less material is left unused than with short coils and the joints along the route are reduced, so the number of MC4 connectors needed as well. Every joint fewer means one point fewer that can heat up or get wet over time. The cable withstands 90 °C on the conductor in continuous operation and goes down to -40 °C, so it covers both the summer roof and the winter. The insulation resists sunlight, oils and greases, standing water and even submersion, and in a fire it does not propagate the flame and does not release halogenated gases.
TOPSOLAR PV H1Z2Z2-K, conductor of annealed tinned electrolytic copper, class 5 (flexible) according to EN 60228, insulation and sheath of halogen-free cross-linked rubber; 1.5/1.5 (1.8) kV DC and 1/1 kV AC. TUV Rheinland certification to EN 50618 and AENOR to IEC 62930, plus UTE C 32-502, CE and RoHS; CPR class Cca-s1b, d2, a1, flame non-propagation EN 60332-1-2, smoke light transmittance above 60%. Conductor temperature 90 °C continuous, 120 °C cumulated 20,000 h, 250 °C maximum 5 s on short circuit, minimum -40 °C; resistance to AD7+ immersion, AD8 submersion and AG2 impact, minimum bending radius 4 × the outer diameter up to 8 mm.
Suited to installation companies, distributors and installers who work on several sites and need a working stock, not short coils for a single job.

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet
Photovoltaic cable of 4 mm2 from the TOPSOLAR PV H1Z2Z2-K range, in the black version, delivered on a 500 m drum for volume works. The conductor is of annealed tinned electrolytic copper, class 5 (flexible) according to EN 60228, with insulation and sheath of halogen-free cross-linked rubber.
The product is TUV Rheinland certified according to EN 50618 and AENOR according to IEC 62930, with a rated voltage of 1.5/1.5 (1.8) kV DC and 1/1 kV AC. The maximum conductor temperature is 90 °C in continuous operation, with 120 °C tolerated for 20,000 cumulated hours, and on short circuit it withstands 250 °C for a maximum of 5 seconds. The minimum service temperature is -40 °C in fixed and protected installations.
The sheath resists UV radiation and ozone according to EN 50618, AD7+ immersion and AD8 submersion, oils, greases and chemical agents, with AG2 impact resistance. The reaction-to-fire class according to CPR is Cca-s1b, d2, a1, with flame non-propagation to EN 60332-1-2, smoke with light transmittance above 60% and no emission of halogenated gases. The minimum bending radius is 4 times the outer diameter for cables up to 8 mm.
The 500 m drum is the right format for installers and building sites: it allows cutting to the exact length for each string, reduces material waste compared with short coils and lowers the number of joints along the route, so the number of MC4 connectors needed as well.
