Inverter-Battery communication cable Pytes
Without this cable the battery and the inverter do not talk to each other. It transmits the state of charge and the battery limits; RJ45-RJ45, 3.5 m on the Pytes V5 B2I version.
The same construction as the 4 mm² version, but with a thicker wire, for higher powers or long runs. 3 × 6 mm², 0.6/1 kV, flexible copper, XLPE, outdoor installation.
This is the alternating-current cable between the inverter and the house panel, in the version with thicker wires. It has three conductors, live, neutral and earth, and a sheath that makes it suitable for outdoor installation, buried or pulled through conduit. Thicker wires carry more current and lose less voltage on the way, which matters when the distance to be covered is long.
The 6 mm² cross-section on each path is chosen when the power of the single-phase inverter or the length of the run require a higher current rating than the 4 mm² version allows. The cable withstands 90 °C on the conductor in continuous operation and goes down to -40 °C in service, but laying is only done above 0 °C, measured on its surface. It can be buried directly, pulled through conduit or through a duct and installed outdoors without additional protection, including in wet areas or under water. The sheath does not propagate flame, has a reduced halogen content and resists oils and chemical agents well, so it also behaves well in technical or industrial spaces. It is also commonly used for supplying a single-phase charging station.
RV-K 0.6/1 kV according to IEC 60502-1 and UNE 21123-2, 3 × 6 mm², class 5 copper (flexible), XLPE insulation, black flexible PVC sheath; usual colour coding blue, brown, green-yellow. Maximum conductor temperature 90 °C in continuous operation and 250 °C for a maximum of 5 s on short circuit, service minimum -40 °C in fixed and protected installations, laying minimum 0 °C. Flame non-propagation EN 60332-1, CPR class Eca, water resistance AD8 submersion, minimum bending radius 5 × the outer diameter in fixed installations.
Suitable for medium-power single-phase inverters or for cases where the main panel is far from the inverter, as well as for supplying a single-phase charging station.

Series-level specifications — valid for the product family
Low-voltage power cable of the RV-K type according to IEC 60502-1 and UNE 21123-2, with a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV, in a configuration with three 6 mm2 conductors. The conductors are of class 5 copper (flexible), insulated with XLPE and protected by an outer sheath of flexible PVC. The usual coding for three paths is blue, brown and green-yellow.
The 6 mm2 cross-section is chosen when the power of the single-phase inverter or the length of the run require a higher current rating and a smaller voltage drop than the 4 mm2 version allows. The XLPE insulation withstands 90 °C on the conductor in continuous operation and 250 °C for a maximum of 5 seconds on short circuit, and the minimum service temperature is -40 °C in fixed and protected installations.
The PVC sheath does not propagate flame according to EN 60332-1, has a reduced halogen content and provides good resistance to oils and chemical agents. The cable can be buried directly, laid in conduit or in a duct and installed outdoors without additional protection, withstanding humidity and submersion (AD8). The minimum bending radius in fixed installations is 5 times the outer diameter, and the reaction-to-fire class according to CPR is Eca.
In photovoltaic installation practice the 3x6 mm2 version is used for the AC connection of medium-power single-phase inverters, for the long runs between the inverter and the main panel and for the supply circuits of single-phase charging stations.
