Inverter-Battery communication cable Pytes
Without this cable the battery and the inverter do not talk to each other. It transmits the state of charge and the battery limits; RJ45-RJ45, 3.5 m on the Pytes V5 B2I version.
The red 6 mm² variant marks the positive pole and limits losses over long runs. 1.5 kV DC, tinned copper, UV resistant, -40...90 °C, TUV certified.
This is the red counterpart of the 6 mm² solar cable, used for the plus (positive) pole of the panel string. The colour changes nothing electrically, but it makes the installation readable: anyone working on it years later immediately sees which wire is plus and which is minus. The thick conductor means less resistance along the way, so less energy lost between the panels and the inverter.
The 6 mm² cross-section is used when the module current is high or when the distance to the inverter is considerable. The minimum service temperature of -40 °C fully covers the Romanian climate, including mountain areas, while the upper limit of 90 °C on the conductor covers a roof baking in summer. The sheath resists sunlight, ozone, oils, greases and chemical agents, standing water and submersion, with medium-severity impact resistance. In a fire it does not propagate the flame, releases no halogenated gases, and the smoke stays relatively transparent, with light transmittance above 60%. When terminating with MC4 connectors, choose the gland matching the larger outer diameter of the 6 mm² cable, otherwise the declared sealing is not achieved.
TOPSOLAR PV H1Z2Z2-K, class 5 tinned electrolytic copper (flexible) per EN 60228, halogen-free cross-linked rubber insulation and sheath; 1,5/1,5 (1,8) kV DC and 1/1 kV AC. TUV Rheinland certification to EN 50618 and AENOR to IEC 62930, plus UTE C 32-502, CE and RoHS; CPR class Cca-s1b, d2, a1, flame non-propagation EN 60332-1-2. Conductor temperature 90 °C continuous, 120 °C for a cumulated 20.000 h, 250 °C for a maximum of 5 s on short circuit, minimum -40 °C in fixed and protected installations; water resistance AD7+ immersion and AD8 submersion, impact AG2.
Suitable for commercial installations and photovoltaic parks, or for any project with high currents and long distances between strings and inverter, wired as a red-black pair.

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet
The red 6 mm2 variant of the TOPSOLAR PV H1Z2Z2-K photovoltaic cable, intended for the positive pole of the panel strings. The conductor is class 5 tinned electrolytic copper (flexible) per EN 60228, with halogen-free cross-linked rubber insulation and sheath, TUV Rheinland certified to EN 50618 and AENOR to IEC 62930.
The rated voltage is 1,5/1,5 (1,8) kV DC and 1/1 kV AC. The maximum conductor temperature is 90 °C in continuous operation, tolerating 120 °C for a cumulated 20.000 hours, and on short circuit it withstands 250 °C for a maximum of 5 seconds. The minimum service temperature in fixed and protected installations is -40 °C, which fully covers the Romanian climate, including mountain areas.
The sheath resists UV and ozone per EN 50618, AD7+ immersion and AD8 submersion, mineral oils, greases and chemical agents, with medium-severity impact resistance (AG2). The reaction-to-fire class per CPR is Cca-s1b, d2, a1, with flame non-propagation to EN 60332-1-2, smoke with light transmittance above 60% and no halogenated gases.
The 6 mm2 cross-section is used as a red-black pair for the complete wiring of the DC side in projects with high currents or long distances between strings and inverter. When terminating with MC4 connectors, the connector and gland variant matching the outer diameter of the 6 mm2 cable must be chosen in order to maintain the declared protection rating.
