It is a photovoltaic panel of the Trina Vertex S+ series, built with glass on both faces, not with glass at the front and plastic film at the back as in ordinary panels. The glass protects the cells better from moisture and from mechanical stress, and the panel ages more slowly. The unusual part is that, although it has double glass, it weighs only 21 kg, as much as a classic panel. The cells are of the N-type i-TOPCon kind, a generation that keeps its power better over time.
With 455 W and 22,8% efficiency on a compact size of 1762 x 1134 mm, it is a panel designed for house roofs: 12 modules mean 5,46 kWp. The weight of 21 kg simplifies installation, especially on fragmented roofs, with small surfaces. The power tolerance is exclusively positive, 0/+5 W, so the delivered panel never has less than the power on the label. At NOCT, that is under real temperature conditions on the roof, the module gives 348 W - a figure closer to what you see in summer than the laboratory value. It withstands 5400 Pa of snow load and 4000 Pa of wind load, and the warranty is 25 years on the product and 30 years linear on power, with a maximum of 1% degradation in the first year and 0,4% per year afterwards.

TSM-455NEG9R.28 is part of the Trina Vertex S+ series, a compact double-glass module with monocrystalline N-type i-TOPCon cells. The construction uses two sheets of heat-strengthened glass of 1,6 mm (the front one with an anti-reflective and high-transmission coating), POE/EVA encapsulation and a black frame of 30 mm anodised aluminium. With 1762 x 1134 mm and only 21 kg, it is one of the lightest double-glass modules in its class, which simplifies installation on residential roofs.
