Kit 4x Growatt AXE 5.0L-C1 LiFePo4 Battery, 5 kWh + Base and cables - 20 KWh

It is a storage set made of four identical battery boxes, stacked on a common base, which keep the energy produced by the panels and give it back when you need it. The cells are of cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate, a chemistry used precisely because it withstands thousands of charges and behaves predictably. The assembly looks like a narrow piece of furniture, and the cables and the base come in the same package.

The 20 kWh, with 92% usable energy, are enough to support a whole home during a power outage or to cover from the battery almost the entire evening and night consumption, including a heat pump. The four modules together give up to 240 A, that is around 12 kW at 51,2 V - an indicative value, limited in practice by the inverter. The declared service life is 6000 cycles, roughly over 16 years at one cycle a day. The assembly weighs around 180 kg, with about 45 kg per module, and is placed indoors, in a dry space, with temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees C.

The 20 kWh kit contains four Growatt AXE 5.0L-C1 modules mounted on a common base, plus the power and communication cables towards the inverter. The modules have cobalt-free LiFePO4 cells, 5,0 kWh each, rated voltage 51,2 V and working range 48-57,6 V. The maximum charge and discharge current is 60 A per module, the usable depth of discharge 92%, and the declared service life 6000 cycles.

The modules stack and connect in cascade, without wiring between units, and the supplied cable set includes conductors of 33 sq mm with a length of 2 m and a maximum working voltage of 1000 V (positive, negative, earth) plus the RS485 communication cable. The system works on CAN/RS485, accepts remote firmware update and allows module-level optimisation, so that the capacity can be expanded over time without replacing the existing modules.

Each module measures 650 x 350 x 165 mm and weighs approximately 45 kg, with IP20 protection rating and operating range 0...+50 °C, so placement is done indoors. Up to 10 modules can be mounted on one base, that is 50 kWh per cluster, and in parallel up to 8 clusters are accepted, the equivalent of 400 kWh.
