Description

Felicity FLB48314TG1-H is the outdoor version of the 16 kWh battery: the same capacity, but in an enclosure sealed against dust and rain, which needs no technical room. The letter H in the code shows that the battery has its own heating module, which starts up in the cold and allows it to charge in winter. In practice, you can install it outdoors, next to the inverter, and leave it there all year round.

16 kWh indicatively covers a day's consumption for a family house. The battery takes in and delivers 160 A continuously, with a peak of 300 A for a maximum of 15 seconds for starting motors, and at least 95% of the stored energy can be used. The important difference from the standard versions is the charging range: the heating module lowers the limit from 0 degrees C to -20 degrees C, so in winter the battery keeps charging instead of blocking. Discharging works between -20 and 55 degrees C. The declared service life exceeds 8000 cycles, indicatively more than 20 years at one cycle a day.

LiFePO4, 51.2 V nominal, range 44.8-57.6 V, 314 Ah, 16 kWh; maximum continuous current 160 A on charge and discharge, peak 300 A for a maximum of 15 s, DoD minimum 95%. More than 8000 cycles under standard conditions (25 degrees C, 0.5C/0.5C, 90% DoD, 70% EOL); IP65 enclosure for outdoor installation. Integrated heating module for charging from -20 degrees C, compared with 0 degrees C on the standard versions; discharging between -20 and 55 degrees C. RS485 and CAN communication, multi-layer BMS and integrated aerosol extinguishing system; expansion up to 32 units in parallel, covering 16-512 kWh, 10-year warranty.

Who it suits

Suitable for a house without an indoor technical space, located in an area with cold winters, where the battery must work outdoors and below zero degrees.

Terms explained

  • The H suffix in the name: The marking that indicates the heating module; it is the one that allows charging at negative temperatures, down to -20 degrees C.
  • IP65: The sealing code of the enclosure: completely closed against dust and resistant to water jets, so suitable for outdoor mounting.
  • Parallel connection: Connecting several identical batteries so that they work as a single block; here up to 32 units, between 16 and 512 kWh.

Technical details

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet

Felicity FLB48314TG1-H is the outdoor version of the 16 kWh battery, with 314 Ah cells at 51.2 V and an operating range of 44.8-57.6 V. The maximum continuous charge/discharge current is 160 A, with a peak of 300 A for a maximum of 15 seconds. The depth of discharge is a minimum of 95%, and the declared service life exceeds 8000 cycles under standard conditions (25 degrees C, 0.5C/0.5C, 90% DoD, 70% EOL).

The H suffix indicates the integrated heating module, which extends the charging range down to -20 degrees C, compared with 0 degrees C on the standard versions; discharging is possible between -20 and 55 degrees C. The IP65 enclosure allows outdoor installation. Safety is ensured by the BMS with multiple protections and by the integrated aerosol extinguishing system. Communication is done through RS485 and CAN, and the system can be expanded by connecting up to 32 units in parallel, covering a range of 16-512 kWh.
