Description

It is the brain and the guardian of a group of Deye BOS-G batteries, not a battery in itself. Its role is to gently start the link between the batteries and the installation, to interrupt it safely when needed, to continuously measure current and voltage and to send the inverter a single clear state of the entire bank. Without this box, the battery modules cannot be connected to the system.

The unit manages BOS-G modules of 5,12 kWh each (51,2 V and 100 Ah), chained together, and works continuously at 100 A, with a maximum of 125 A for short demands. It is a metal wall enclosure of about 15,5 kg, mounted in a technical room or in the rack cabinet, next to the battery modules. It works over a wide temperature range, from -20 to +65 degrees C, so it also tolerates unheated technical spaces, as long as they are dry. The electronics are powered separately, at 12 V, so that the control side stays active independently of the bank's state.

Model HVB750V/100A-EU, DC working voltage 120-750 Vdc, rated charge/discharge current 100 A, maximum 125 A, auxiliary supply 12 V ±2% / 4,15 A. Functions: pre-charge, disconnection under load, cluster current and voltage measurement, transmission of the aggregated state to the inverter. CAN 2.0 and RS485 communication, compatible with Deye high-voltage hybrid inverters and with platforms that accept an external BMS. Enclosure 440 x 570 x 150 mm, about 15,5 kg, IP20, operating range -20...+65 °C. The BOS-G system is certified CE, IEC 62619, VDE 2510-50, UL 1973, UL 9540A and UN 38.3.

Who it suits

Suitable for halls, farms and commercial spaces that run a high-voltage Deye BOS-G bank on HV hybrid inverters, either in a new installation or as a spare part.

Terms explained

  • Pre-charge: A gradual start of the electrical link, so that no sudden current peak appears the moment the battery is connected to the installation.
  • Disconnection under load: The ability to safely interrupt the circuit even while current is flowing through it, without electric arcing and without damaging the contacts.
  • External BMS: The situation in which the battery's brain is a separate box, not one integrated in each module; the inverter talks only to this box.

Technical details

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet

HVB750V/100A-EU is the control and protection module (Battery Management Unit) of the Deye BOS-G storage system in high-voltage configuration. It contains no cells: its role is to manage a cluster made of BOS-G modules of 5,12 kWh (51,2 V / 100 Ah) connected in series, to perform pre-charging, disconnection under load, cluster current and voltage measurement and to transmit the aggregated state to the inverter.

The working range on the DC side is 120-750 Vdc, with a rated charge/discharge current of 100 A and a maximum of 125 A. The auxiliary supply of the electronics is at 12 V ±2% / 4,15 A. Communication with the inverter and with the battery modules is done through CAN 2.0 and RS485, the protocol being compatible with Deye high-voltage hybrid inverters and with other platforms that accept an external BMS.

Constructively it is a metal wall enclosure, 440 x 570 x 150 mm and approximately 15,5 kg, with IP20 protection rating, intended for mounting in technical rooms or in rack cabinets together with the battery modules. The operating range is -20...+65 °C. The BOS-G system it belongs to is certified CE, IEC 62619, VDE 2510-50, UL 1973, UL 9540A and UN 38.3.
