Double-threaded hanger bolt K2 Single Rail

This is the part that links the panel structure to the wooden frame of the roof when classic tile hooks cannot be used. It has two different threads: a wood one, which goes into the rafter like an ordinary screw, and a metric one, like that of a threaded rod, on which the rail support is mounted. The penetration through the roof covering is sealed with a rubber gasket, so that water does not enter alongside the bolt.

Because the support is adjusted on the metric thread, the unevenness of the roof covering can be compensated, and the rails come out straight even if the roof is not perfectly flat. The included gasket is designed for corrugated fibre-cement (asbestos-cement) sheets, the typical covering of many agricultural halls and outbuildings. The length is chosen according to the thickness of the covering and the desired anchoring depth: the M10 versions are 180, 200 or 250 mm, and the M12 ones 200, 250 or 300 mm. The materials - stainless steel, aluminium and EPDM rubber - require no maintenance, and delivery is made in boxes of 50 pieces, respectively 1,200 pieces per pallet.

Terms explained

• Double-threaded stud: A rod with two differently threaded ends: one end is screwed into the wood, and on the other, threaded like an ordinary bolt, the metal support is mounted.

The K2 SingleRail double-threaded stud (hanger bolt / Stockschraube) is the anchoring element used when the rails are fixed through the roof covering directly into the timber structure. It has two distinct threads: a wood thread, which is screwed into the rafter or into the batten, and a metric thread (M10 or M12), on which the SingleRail rail support is mounted. This construction allows height adjustment and absorption of the level differences of the roof covering.

The assembly is made of A2-40 stainless steel, EN AW-6063 T66 aluminium and EPDM, and includes the sealing gasket for corrugated asbestos-cement sheets, which ensures the waterproofing of the penetration. The drive is through a hexagonal socket. On the M10x250 version (code 2003274), the metric thread is 85 mm, and the wood thread 67 mm.
