Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
Anchors the structure into the roof timber where the roofing does not carry the weight: double-threaded bolt M10x250 of A2 stainless steel, with nuts, EPDM gasket and mounting plate.
Some roofs, such as those of tile-effect sheet or corrugated boards, are too thin to support the panels themselves. This bolt solves the problem: it has a wood thread at one end, which is driven into the beam under the roof, and an ordinary thread at the other, which stays outside. The hole through the roof is sealed with a rubber gasket compressed under a wide washer, and above it a small plate is fastened on which the panel rail is placed.
The length of 250 mm is chosen so that it passes through high-profile roofing and still penetrates sufficiently into the wood. The mounting plate is adjusted for height from the nuts on the shank, which means the row of panels can come out straight even if the roof is uneven. An important detail during installation: the gasket is always positioned on the crest of the profile, that is on the upper part of the wave, never in the valley, so that it does not stand in the way of the water. One piece weighs 0,165 kg and is supplied in boxes of 50, together with the set of nuts and the EPDM gasket.
Corab code M524, EAN 4043377230829, A2 stainless steel, metric thread M10, length 250 mm, mass 0,165 kg/pc, packaging 50 pcs/box, delivered with a set of nuts and EPDM gasket. Intended use declared by the manufacturer: roofs of tile-effect sheet and corrugated asbestos-cement type boards. The wood thread is screwed into the rafter or into the boarding through the roofing, and the metric end takes the mounting plate and the longitudinal aluminium rail. The effective screwing depth into the wood and the number of anchoring points are established according to the section and species of the wood and the local wind and snow loads.
Suitable for roofs of tile-effect sheet or corrugated boards, with a timber structure underneath, where tile hooks cannot be used.

The double-threaded bolt M10x250 is the anchoring element for roofs on which the aluminium rail cannot be fastened directly into the roofing. In the Corab catalogue it is listed with the code M524, EAN 4043377230829, made of A2 stainless steel, with a mass of 0,165 kg per piece and packaging of 50 pieces per box. It is delivered together with the set of nuts and with the EPDM sealing gasket.
The bolt has two threaded zones: a wood thread, which is screwed into the rafter or into the boarding through the roofing, and a metric M10 thread, which stays above the roof. The manufacturer indicates use for fixing on roofs with tile-effect sheet and on roofing of corrugated asbestos-cement type boards, where the roofing cannot take the loads on its own.
Sealing is achieved with an EPDM gasket compressed under a wide washer, mandatorily installed on the crest of the roofing profile, not in the valley, so as not to obstruct the drainage of water. On the metric end the mounting plate (the adapter) is installed, which takes the longitudinal aluminium rail and allows height adjustment through the nuts on the shank, compensating for the unevenness of the roof plane.
The length of 250 mm allows passing through roofing with a high profile and sufficient penetration into the wood. The effective screwing depth into the rafter and the number of anchoring points are established according to the section and species of the wood and the local wind and snow loads.
