Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
You fix 6 panels directly on the corrugated sheet metal roof, without an additional structure. Short aluminium rails and 6x25 mm self-drilling screws with an EPDM gasket that seals every hole.
The corrugated sheet metal roof has raised corrugations, and this set uses the very top of the corrugation as a support point. Short pieces of aluminium rail are placed over the corrugations, fixed with special screws that drill their own hole and have under the head a rubber gasket that closes the hole on the spot. The panels are then fixed on these rails, with adjustable clamps. In practice, the roof itself becomes the support for the panels.
The set is sized for 6 photovoltaic modules, that is a small installation or the extension of an existing one. You do not need an intermediate structure on the rafters: the weight of the panels is transmitted directly into the sheet metal and into the purlins beneath it, so the installation is faster and cheaper. The clamps accept frames of 30-42 mm thickness, that is practically any usual panel, and the modules can be placed both upright (vertical) and lying down (horizontal), depending on the shape of the roof. The point that requires long-term attention is the sealing: the EPDM gasket compressed under each screw is what keeps the roof dry.
Short SMT type aluminium rails, mounted transversely over the corrugations at the module fixing points, fixed in the crest of the corrugation with 6x25 mm self-drilling screws with a double thread and an EPDM sealing washer, A2 stainless steel (Corab code M529). Upper T type channel for M8 hammer head bolts; adjustable mid and end clamps for frames of 30-42 mm. The sizing of the number of fixing points per module is done according to the panel manufacturer's indications, correlated with the corrugation pitch and with the local wind and snow loads. No code dedicated exactly to the 6 panel configuration was identified in the public Corab catalogue, so the exact contents of the set are confirmed at the time of ordering.
Suitable for a house, an annex or an industrial hall with a corrugated sheet metal covering, where you want to install 6 panels or extend an existing system.

Generic product — standard specifications
Fixing kit intended for pitched roofs covered with trapezoidal sheet, sized for the installation of 6 photovoltaic modules. The basic Corab concept for this type of covering uses short SMT type aluminium rails, placed transversely over the sheet corrugations at the module fixing points, fixed directly into the crest of the corrugation with 6x25 mm self-drilling screws with a double thread and an EPDM sealing washer of A2 stainless steel (Corab code M529).
The installation principle eliminates the need for an intermediate structure on the rafters: the load of the modules is transferred directly into the sheet and into the purlins beneath it. The rails have an upper T type channel, into which the M8 hammer head bolts go, and the modules are fixed with adjustable mid clamps and end clamps, suitable for frames of 30-42 mm thickness. The configuration allows both the vertical and the horizontal arrangement of the modules.
The sizing takes into account the number of fixing points per module recommended by the panel manufacturer, the distance between the sheet corrugations and the local wind and snow loads. The sealing of each penetration through the compressed EPDM washer is the critical element for maintaining the roof's watertightness over the service life of the installation.
Transparency note: we have not identified in the public Corab catalogue a code dedicated exactly to the 6 panel configuration; the description reflects the construction and the standard components of the Corab kits for trapezoidal sheet. The exact contents of the set are confirmed at the time of ordering.
