A long row of panels needs a rail longer than the one supplied in a single piece, so the rails have to be joined. The connector is the part that does this: it is slid into the end of the rail and joins the two sections into one continuous profile. It needs no tools and no other auxiliary parts, which visibly shortens the time spent on the roof.

The part weighs 0.241 kg and has inside it a spring clip that does three things at once: it stops the rail in exactly the right position during installation, it ensures the electrical connection between the two sections and it locks the connector, so that the joint does not wander because of heat expansion or wind vibration.
