The aluminium rails on which the panels sit are hollow profiles, so at the ends an open section remains, visible from below. The BlackCover cap is simply inserted into this end and covers it. It has an aesthetic role - it makes the appearance of the installation uniform, especially on all-black installations, where everything is black - and a practical role: it prevents dirt from entering the rail channel directly.

The cap covers 150 mm of the rail end and weighs 0.036 kg, so it adds nothing to the roof load. It matters most on houses where the installation is visible from street level, where garish cut aluminium ends stand out on an otherwise uniform roof.
