Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
It reduces the number of holes in the roof and the amount of aluminium used: 400 mm segments mounted at individual points, with a factory-fitted gasket. Versions 90x21 mm and 110x60 mm.
Instead of a continuous three-metre rail, here short pieces of 40 centimetres are used, placed only where the panel needs support. Each segment is placed over a rib of the sheet metal, exactly at the fixing point. The result is less aluminium on the roof and fewer places where the roof covering is drilled - two things that matter both for costs and for the owner's peace of mind.
For an owner, the practical advantage is that each segment already comes with the sealing gasket fitted at the factory on the foot that sits on the sheet metal, so no silicone work is done on site and the risk of infiltration drops. There is a choice between two sections, 90x21 mm and 110x60 mm, depending on the geometry of the ribs and the required stiffness. The typical fixing is with six screws per segment, and the upper channel allows the clamps to be adjusted for any module width, mounted vertically or horizontally. It is the standard solution used by Corab in the kits for trapezoidal sheet roofs.
Corab S.A. profile of 400 mm, natural silver finish, in the versions 90x21 mm with gasket (code XPF-SM084) and 110x60 mm with gasket (code XPF-SM036). Fixing with 6x25 self-drilling double-thread screws with an EPDM washer, Corab code M529, of A2 stainless steel, typically 6 pieces per rail. The upper T-type channel takes M8 hammer-head bolts for the mid and end clamps. The same short rail, in the SMT-68/400 AL version, forms the basis of the 1 kW Corab T-021.2 kit. Corab warranty: 10 years standard, extendable to 15 years through registration.
Suitable for residential and low-power installations on trapezoidal sheet, where the aim is to minimise the number of penetrations and the weight added to the roof.

SMT L400 is the short, 400 mm version of the Corab trapezoidal rail. Unlike the continuous 3 m profiles, it is mounted at individual points, one segment over each rib of the sheet metal, at the fixing points of the module. The solution significantly reduces the consumption of aluminium and the number of penetrations in the roof covering, being the standard method used by Corab in the kits for trapezoidal sheet roofs.
Corab lists two section versions for this length: SMT L400 (90x21 mm) with gasket, code XPF_SM084, and SMT L400 (110x60 mm) with gasket, code XPF_SM036. Both are aluminium profiles in a silver finish, factory-equipped with the sealing gasket on the contact foot with the sheet metal, which prevents water infiltration at the level of the fixing screws.
Fixing is done with 6x25 self-drilling double-thread screws with an EPDM washer (Corab code M529, A2 stainless steel), typically 6 screws per rail. The upper T-type channel takes M8 hammer-head bolts, on which the mid and end clamps of the modules are mounted. The same type of short rail, in the SMT-68/400 AL version, forms the basis of the 1 kW Corab T-021.2 kit.
