Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
Short 540 mm rail mounted directly on the crest of the trapezoidal sheet, with an upper channel for clamps; usually two rails per module are used.
It is a short piece of aluminium profile that is fixed directly onto the corrugated sheet roof, at each fixing point of the panel. Unlike systems with long continuous bars, here each module rests on a few such short rails, which means far less aluminium used and less weight added to the roof. It is the usual solution on industrial halls and outbuildings, where the panels sit flush with the plane of the roof.
As a rule two rails are mounted per module, placed across the corrugations, and the distance between them is not chosen freely: it must respect the permitted clamping zones indicated in the panel's installation manual, otherwise the module warranty is lost. The panel is fixed with mid and end clamps that slide in the upper channel, so its position can be adjusted along the length of the rail. Fixing onto the sheet is done with self-drilling screws with an EPDM sealing washer, and between the profile and the sheet a sealing layer is recommended - butyl tape or an EPDM gasket - which protects the perforation and avoids direct contact between the aluminium and the galvanised sheet. The number of fixing points is established on the basis of the load calculation specific to the site, not as a flat rate.
Short rail of the mini-rail type, length 540 mm, extruded aluminium, mounted directly on the crest of the corrugation, without a continuous rail. Module clamping through an upper channel for mid and end clamps. Recommended fixing with self-drilling screws with an EPDM sealing washer, with an intermediate sealing layer between the profile and the sheet to avoid galvanic contact aluminium - galvanised sheet. Applicable on roofs with a low pitch, provided that the rigidity of the corrugations allows the wind and snow loads to be taken up.
Suited to industrial halls, warehouses and agricultural buildings with corrugated sheet, where continuous rails are not justified and the weight added to the roof matters.

Generic product — standard specifications
Short mounting rail of extruded aluminium, with a length of 540 mm, intended for fixing photovoltaic panels directly onto trapezoidal sheet roofs. Unlike systems with continuous rails, the mini-rails are mounted individually on the crest of the corrugation, at each fixing point of the module, which significantly reduces the quantity of aluminium and the weight added to the roof.
The profile has an upper channel in which the mid and end clamps slide, so that the module can be positioned freely along the length of the rail. Fixing onto the sheet is done with self-drilling screws fitted with an EPDM sealing washer, and between the profile and the sheet a sealing layer is recommended (butyl tape or EPDM gasket) to protect the perforation and to avoid direct galvanic contact between the aluminium and the galvanised sheet.
As a rule two rails are mounted per module, placed across the corrugations, the distance between them being dictated by the permitted clamping zones indicated in the panel's installation manual. The solution is suitable for industrial halls, outbuildings and low-pitch roofs, where the corrugations of the sheet are rigid enough to take up the wind and snow loads. The number of fixing points is established on the basis of the load calculation specific to the site, not as a flat rate.
