Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
The rail the panels actually sit on: H-type aluminium profile, 40x40 mm, length 2400 mm, with an upper channel for clamps and a lower channel for screws.
This is the aluminium bar on which the photovoltaic panels are laid and fixed. The H-shaped section gives it channels on both faces: the upper one takes the clamps that grip the panel frames, and the lower one takes the screws with which the rail is fixed to hooks, adapters or mounting feet. In practice, everything is fitted by sliding, without additional drilling.
The length of 2400 mm is suitable for short rows and for fragmented roofs, where chimneys or dormer windows cut into the usable surface, and it is easy to transport and handle on the roof. If you need longer rows, the profiles are joined with rail connectors, with the joint placed next to a support point, not in the middle of the span. Being made of aluminium, like the panel frames, it needs no additional anti-corrosion protection on the roof and requires no maintenance. The distance between the supports is not chosen by eye, but by structural calculation, according to the snow and wind in the area - at the edges and corners of the roof the span is reduced.
Load-bearing profile of extruded aluminium, H-type section 40x40 mm, length 2400 mm, with an upper channel for mid and end clamps and a lower channel for the screws fixing it to hooks, adapters or mounting feet, without additional drilling. Usual alloys for this type of profile: EN AW-6005A or EN AW-6063, in the quenched and artificially aged state, which combine mechanical strength with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Joining by a rail connector for H-type profile, positioned next to a support point. The span between supports is established by structural calculation, according to the snow and wind load and to the roof zone.
Suitable for roofs with short rows of panels or with a fragmented surface, where a long rail would be hard to handle and would have to be cut anyway.

Generic product — standard specifications
Load-bearing profile of extruded aluminium, with an H-type section of 40x40 mm and a length of 2400 mm, used as the rail on which the photovoltaic panels are fixed. The H-shaped section provides channels on both faces: the upper channel receives the mid and end clamps, and the lower channel allows the insertion of the screws fixing it to hooks, adapters or mounting feet, without additional drilling.
Profiles of this type are made of aluminium extrusion alloys specific to photovoltaic support structures (usually from the EN AW-6005A or EN AW-6063 family, in the quenched and artificially aged state), which combine mechanical strength with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Being made of aluminium, the profile is electrochemically compatible with the module frame and requires no additional anti-corrosion protection on the roof.
The length of 2400 mm is suitable for short rows, for installations on fragmented surfaces and for easy transport and handling on the roof. For long rows, the profiles are joined with rail connectors, with the joint placed next to a support point, not in the middle of the span. The distance between supports is established by structural calculation, according to the snow and wind load and to the roof zone - the edges and corners require a reduced span.
