K2 Universal end clamp

Panels are not simply laid on the rails, they are clamped onto them with small metal parts called clamps. The end clamp is the one that grips the panel at the edge of the row, where there is no longer a neighbouring panel to lean on. Without it, the edge of the module field would remain free, and the wind could lift the panel.

The same clamp fits module frames with a height between 25 and 40 mm, that is most of the usual modules on the market, which means you do not have to order different clamps if you change the panel supplier or if you extend the installation later with another model. The parts that touch the frame are made of thermoplastic material, so as not to scratch the module's paint when tightening. There is also a black anodised version, code 2004545, for installations with full-black modules, where the fixing parts are meant not to stand out. One clamp weighs 0.09 kg and is delivered in bags of 20 pieces, so it is easy to allocate per project.

Terms explained

K2 Clamp EC 25-40 (article code 2004543, GTIN 4251786216291) is the universal end clamp in the K2 Systems portfolio, used for fixing the last module of a row on the mounting rail. The construction combines a body of EN AW-6063 T66 aluminium, stainless steel clamping elements and thermoplastic components which protect the module frame at the contact. The weight of one clamp is 0.09 kg. There is also a black anodised version, article code 2004545, for installations with aesthetic requirements (full-black modules).

The name "universal" comes from the wide clamping range: the same clamp covers module frames with a height between 25 and 40 mm, which eliminates the need to stock several clamp sizes on site and allows the same article to be used on projects with different modules.
