Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
Attaches the panel structure to the roof truss of the house without pressing on the tile: the base plate adjusts to three heights (40/47/54 mm) and comes with the K2 Climber rail clamp already fitted.
The roof hook is the part that connects the photovoltaic panels to the timber frame of the house. It is mounted under the tile, fixed into the sloping timber beam called a rafter, and its arm comes out above the roof covering and supports the metal rail on which the panels rest. In this way, the weight of the panels and the force of the wind do not press on the tile, but are taken up directly by the load-bearing structure of the roof.
The base plate can be mounted at three different heights, at 40, 47 or 54 mm, so that the hook fits the thickness of your tile, ceramic or concrete, without cutting or grinding anything. Correct adjustment allows the tile above to sit freely, without resting on the metal, and this is exactly the reason why, with hastily made installations, cracked tiles and water ingress appear after the first winter. The hook is supplied with the K2 Climber 36/50 already fitted, so the rail is coupled directly by clipping, without additional parts to order. One hook weighs 0.576 kg and comes in boxes of 30 pieces, a quantity that usually covers an ordinary residential roof.

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet
K2 SingleHook 3S (article code 2003215) is the standard hook of the K2 SingleRail system for pitched roofs covered with ceramic tiles or concrete tiles. The construction is mixed: the body in EN AW-6063 T66 aluminium and the connecting elements in A2-70 stainless steel, a combination that ensures corrosion resistance throughout the service life of the installation. The weight of one hook is 0.576 kg.
The main feature is the base plate, vertically adjustable in 3 positions, at heights of 40, 47 and 54 mm, which allows the hook height to be adapted to the thickness and profile of the tile without additional machining and without the tile above resting on the hook. Fixing is done on the rafter, for rafters with a width from 48 mm; on narrow rafters, from 36 mm, mounting is possible with M6 timber construction screws.
The hook is supplied with the K2 Climber 36/50 pre-assembled and with the corresponding Allen screw, so that the SingleRail 36 or SingleRail 50 rail is coupled directly, by clipping, without additional components. K2 SingleHook 3S covers, together with the 4S variant, most tile applications; for special cases there are the 3S Light (reduced loads), 3S Long (large format tiles) and Alpin (high snow loads) variants. Packaging is 30 pieces/box and 720 pieces/pallet, tariff code 7610 90 90.
