Basic Rail 22 - K2 mounting rail 4800 mm
It supports the panels on a sheet metal roof without loading it: a 4.8 m aluminium profile that weighs about 3.1 kg and raises the modules by only 22.5 mm.
Deflects the wind from under the panels and lowers the ballast weight needed on the roof. Sheet with Magnelis ZM310 coating, for modules of 1779-2150 mm.
The windbreaker is a thin sheet metal element mounted behind the row of modules, which stops the air flow from passing freely under the panels. A panel over and under which the air flows unhindered behaves like a wing and tends to be pulled upwards, and the windbreaker breaks this effect. The practical result is that the system needs fewer weights to stay in place.
Less ballast means fewer kilograms per square metre of roof, a decisive argument on buildings with a reduced reserve of load-bearing capacity, which otherwise could not take a photovoltaic installation. The long version is dimensioned for modules with a length between 1779 and 2150 mm, that is for most of the large panels used today. The sheet is protected with a Magnelis ZM310 coating, an alloy of zinc, aluminium and magnesium with self-protection including at the cut edges, suitable for long-term exposure on a roof. The fixing to the Dome 6.10 Peak element is done with 4.8x20 mm self-tapping screws, and the number of windbreakers needed results from calculation, it is not estimated on site.
K2 S-Dome 6.10 windbreaker, long version, article code 2003250, for modules with a length of 1779-2150 mm; steel with Magnelis ZM310 coating, mounted on the rear side of the module row and fixed with 4.8x20 mm self-tapping screws on the Dome 6.10 Peak. It is part of the K2 Dome 6 system, with the German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916 and ballast dimensioning based on wind tunnel tests. The need for and the number of windbreakers are determined in the K2 Base application, depending on the wind zone, the height of the building and the position in the module field.
Suitable for terrace roofs with a limited load-bearing capacity or for tall and exposed buildings, where the ballast must be reduced to a minimum.

The K2 windbreaker is mounted on the rear side of the module row of the S-Dome 6.10 system and has the role of deflecting the air flow that passes under and over the panels. By reducing the uplift pressure generated by the wind, the windbreaker allows a significant decrease of the ballast needed on the roof - an essential element on buildings with a reduced reserve of load-bearing capacity. The long version, K2 article code 2003250, is dimensioned for modules with a length of 1779-2150 mm.
The sheet is of steel with a Magnelis ZM310 coating (zinc-aluminium-magnesium alloy), an anti-corrosion protective layer with self-protection at the cut edges, suitable for long-term exposure on a roof. The fixing to the Dome 6.10 Peak element is done with 4.8x20 mm self-tapping screws.
The product is part of the K2 Dome 6 system, which holds the German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916 and whose ballast dimensioning is based on wind tunnel tests. The need for and the number of windbreakers result from the calculation carried out in the K2 Base application, depending on the wind zone, the height of the building and the position in the module field.
