Description

It is the front support of the panel on the flat roof, in the variant that tilts the module more than the usual one. A more tilted panel catches the sun better over the year, and rain and snow slide off it more easily. On the other hand, a more raised panel is also more exposed to wind, so the variant is chosen depending on the building.

The fixed angle is 15 degrees, compared with 10 degrees on the standard variant: you gain annual specific production and better self-cleaning of the surface, at the price of a higher wind load and of larger distances between rows, therefore of a smaller usable roof area. The part weighs 0.095 kg and is mounted on the BasicRail carrier rail, working as a pair with the upper element Dome 6.15 Peak. The modules are fixed with the DomeClamp mid and end clamps, for frames 30-50 mm thick. Factory packaging is 20 pcs/box and 3,200 pcs/pallet, and the installation instructions are also available in Romanian.

Dome 6.15 SD, K2 article code 2004175, aluminium EN AW-6063 T66, 0.095 kg/pc, front element supporting the module at a fixed angle of 15 degrees. Compatible with the K2 Dome 6 and K2 BasicRail systems; it can be used both on flat roofs and on slightly pitched roofs. All variants of the Dome 6 system hold the German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916.

Who it suits

Suitable for flat roofs with sufficient available area and with a structure that supports the greater ballast required by a 15 degree angle.

Terms explained

  • Annual specific production: How much the installation produces in a year relative to the installed power; the tilt and the orientation influence it directly.
  • Self-cleaning: The ability of the tilted surface to clean itself, through water, dust and snow sliding off.
  • Row spacing: The space left between rows so that the front panels do not shade the ones behind; it increases together with the tilt angle.

Technical details

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet

Dome 6.15 SD is the front (lower) module support element in the Dome 6.15 variant of the K2 system for flat roofs. Compared with the 10 degree variant, Dome 6.15 raises the panel to 15 degrees, an angle that increases the annual specific production and improves the self-cleaning of the surface, at the price of a higher wind load and of larger distances between rows. K2 article code 2004175.

The part is made of aluminium EN AW-6063 T66 and has a mass of 0.095 kg. Factory packaging is 20 pcs/box, respectively 3,200 pcs/pallet. It is mounted on the BasicRail carrier rail and works as a pair with the upper element Dome 6.15 Peak; the modules are fixed with the DomeClamp mid and end clamps for frames 30-50 mm thick.

The component is part of the K2 Dome 6 and K2 BasicRail systems and can be used both on flat roofs and on slightly pitched roofs. All variants of the Dome 6 system hold the German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916. The installation instructions are also available in Romanian.
