Description

The Peak is the rear part of the support, the one that raises the upper edge of the panel. Together with the front support it gives the tilt at which the module sits on the flat roof. It can simply be clipped into the base plate mounted beforehand, that is, it is fixed by pressing, without screws.

The resulting angle is 10 degrees, and the part weighs 0.3 kg. Mounting is done either by clipping into the pre-assembled base plate, or directly on the BasicRail with a hexagon socket screw and an MK2 sliding nut; the first variant reduces the number of threaded joints made on the roof and shortens the working time. It is used both in the S-Dome configuration, where all the panels look in the same direction, and in D-Dome, where the modules are placed back to back, east-west, for a production spread over the whole day. Factory packaging is 30 pcs/box and 1,350 pcs/pallet.

Dome 6.10 Peak, K2 article code 2004125, GTIN 4251786203291, EN AW-6063 T66 aluminium, 0.3 kg/pc, resistant to corrosion and to alternating wind loads. Compatible with the K2 Dome 6, K2 BasicRail and K2 MultiRail systems; mounting by clipping into the pre-assembled base plate or direct fixing on BasicRail with a hexagon socket screw and MK2 sliding nut. The Dome 6 system holds the German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916 and is dimensioned as a ballast-optimised system, on the basis of wind tunnel tests.

Who it suits

Suitable for flat roofs of industrial halls or apartment blocks where a large panel field is installed and installation speed matters, in a single-orientation or east-west configuration.

Terms explained

  • S-Dome / D-Dome: S-Dome means rows all oriented in the same direction, and D-Dome means panels placed back to back, east and west.
  • Sliding nut: A nut that enters the rail channel and slides to the desired position, without the need for a hole.
  • Base plate: The support underneath that distributes the weight over the roof and into which the parts that raise the panel are fastened.

Technical details

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet

Dome 6.10 Peak is the lifting component (the upper support) of the module in the K2 Dome 6.10 system. It can be mounted by clipping into the pre-assembled base plate or can be fixed directly on the BasicRail rail with a hexagon socket screw and the MK2 sliding nut. Together with the front element Dome 6.10 SD it determines the exposure angle of 10 degrees. K2 article code 2004125, GTIN 4251786203291.

The material is EN AW-6063 T66 aluminium, resistant to corrosion and to alternating wind loads. The weight is 0.3 kg per piece, and the factory packaging is 30 pcs/box and 1,350 pcs/pallet. The clipping solution allows fast installation, with a reduced number of threaded joints in the field.

The part is compatible with the K2 Dome 6, K2 BasicRail and K2 MultiRail systems and is used both in the S-Dome configuration (a row oriented in a single direction) and D-Dome (east-west arrangement, back to back). The Dome 6 system has the German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916 and is dimensioned as a ballast-optimised system, on the basis of wind tunnel tests.
