Description

On a flat roof, panels cannot lie flat: they must be tilted towards the sun. Dome 6.10 SD is the front support, the one that holds the lower edge of the panel. Together with its matching rear part it forms a kind of aluminium chair that sets the module at a fixed angle, without any need for holes in the roof.

The resulting angle is 10 degrees, a small tilt, chosen precisely so that the wind has as little as possible to grab hold of, and so that the ballast weight placed on the roof stays low. The part weighs only 0,085 kg, so hundreds of pieces add very little to the building's load. It is mounted on the BasicRail 22 carrying rail with an M8x20 hexagon socket bolt and an MK2 sliding nut, and the panel is fastened with DomeClamp mid and end clamps, for frames of 30-50 mm. Factory packaging is 30 pcs/box and 3.200 pcs/pallet, useful to know for large orders.

Dome 6.10 SD, K2 article code 2003243, GTIN 4251786213948, extruded aluminium EN AW-6063 T66, mass 0,085 kg/pc. Compatible with the K2 Dome 6 and K2 BasicRail systems, on BasicRail 22, MultiRail 25 and MultiRail 25 CSM rails; fastening with an M8x20 hexagon socket bolt and an MK2 sliding nut. The Dome 6 system holds German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916, is ballast-optimised on the basis of wind tunnel tests and is intended for roofs with bitumen, synthetic membrane, concrete, trapezoidal sheet or green roof; sizing and the calculation report are obtained in K2 Base.

Who it suits

Suitable for flat roofs - halls, apartment blocks, office buildings - where the waterproofing must not be pierced and the aim is a solution with as little ballast as possible.

Terms explained

  • Ballast: The weights, usually slabs or gravel, placed over the structure to hold the system in place without holes in the roof.
  • Ballasted system: An installation that stays on the roof by its own weight, without fixings that pierce the waterproofing.
  • abZ (technical approval): An official German approval confirming that the system has been verified and documented for use in construction.

Technical details

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet

Dome 6.10 SD is the front (lower) module support element in the K2 Dome 6.10 system for flat roofs. It is mounted on the BasicRail 22 carrying rail and takes the lower edge of the panel; together with the upper element Dome 6.10 Peak it establishes the fixed tilt angle of 10 degrees. K2 article code 2003243, GTIN 4251786213948.

The part is made of extruded aluminium EN AW-6063 T66 and weighs only 0,085 kg, so it does not significantly load the roof. Factory packaging is 30 pcs/box and 3.200 pcs/pallet. Fastening to the rail is done with an M8x20 hexagon socket bolt and an MK2 sliding nut, and the panel is fastened with DomeClamp mid and end clamps for frames of 30-50 mm.

The component belongs to the K2 Dome 6 and K2 BasicRail systems and is compatible with the BasicRail 22, MultiRail 25 and MultiRail 25 CSM rails. The Dome 6 system holds German technical approval abZ no. Z-14.4-916 and is a ballast-optimised system, sized on the basis of wind tunnel tests, for roofs with bitumen, synthetic membrane, concrete, trapezoidal sheet or green roof. Sizing is done in K2 Base, which also generates the calculation report.
