The distribution board is the place where the photovoltaic installation stops and protects itself. It gathers in a single enclosure the fuses and breakers on the panel side, where the current is direct, and those between the inverter and the grid, where the current is alternating and flows on three phases. It comes factory-wired, so nothing has to be improvised on site.
The two-string version is for installations in which the panels are split into two rows, connected to two MPPT inputs of the three-phase inverter. Splitting them helps on dual-pitch roofs or when one area is shaded for part of the day, because the inverter can track the maximum power point of each group separately, and the shaded group no longer drags the other one down. Each string has its own protection and disconnection circuit on the direct current side. The package includes the sealable enclosure for the distribution operator's meter, made of hard plastic, 35.5 x 22.5 x 14 cm, with holes for seals, required when prosumer installations are energised.
