In a classic string of panels, the weakest module dictates how much all the others produce. The optimizer is mounted one per panel, between the module and the string circuit, and lets each panel work at its own maximum, no matter what happens with its neighbours. It also has a bypass path, so that a panel with compromised production does not block the current of the others, and it allows the production of each individual panel to be tracked.
It is the high-power version of the range, with a rated input power of 600 W, suitable where modules of 550-600 W are used, bifacial or monofacial, for which a 450 W optimizer would be undersized. The maximum efficiency is 99,5%, and the weighted one 99,0%, so its own losses stay below 1%. The box measures 75 x 140 x 28 mm and weighs 0,6 kg, so it is mounted directly on the panel frame, and the IP68 enclosure and the operating range -40...+85 °C, at 0-100% humidity, allow it to stay permanently on the roof. It requires no additional data cable, and the production of each module is seen in the FusionSolar app. The product warranty is 25 years.
