Huawei SmartDongle 4G network adapter
The module that gives a Huawei inverter internet through a SIM card, where the fixed network does not reach. It plugs into the USB port, serves up to 10 inverters, IP65.
Gathers in a single place the data of the entire commercial PV plant and adjusts the power at the grid's request. Up to 80 devices, 3 RS485 buses, WAN/LAN and SFP.
In a large PV plant you do not have a single inverter, but several devices that produce, measure and report separately. SmartLogger 3000 is the box that gathers them all in one place: it collects the data from the inverters, from the energy meters and from the weather station, keeps it locally and forwards it to the monitoring platform or to the operator's supervision system. It is also the one that can reduce the plant's power when the grid operator requires it, without anyone going on site.
A single unit manages up to 80 devices, which covers installations of several hundred kilowatts. It has three independent RS485 buses for inverters and meters, with the manufacturer's recommendation not to exceed about 30 devices on each, plus a WAN port, a LAN port and an optical port for long distances or environments with electrical interference. For the commands received from the distribution operator it has 4 digital inputs on dry contact and 2 digital outputs, and for sensors it has analogue inputs. It is mounted on the wall, on a DIN rail or placed on a desk, it takes up 225 x 160 x 44 mm and weighs about 1.85-2 kg. Being in the IP20 protection class, its place is in a switchboard or in a technical room, but it withstands temperatures from -40 °C to +60 °C and altitudes of up to 4000 m. The A01 version is the one without the MBUS module, that is the usual solution for building installations, where data is not transmitted over the direct current cable.
SmartLogger3000A01, code 02312SCU-004, version without MBUS. Three independent RS485 channels with support for Modbus-RTU, IEC 103 and DL/T645, under 30 devices recommended per bus, maximum 80 devices in total; WAN, LAN interfaces and SFP optical port. 4 x DI on dry contact, 2 x DO, analogue inputs 0-10 V or 4-20 mA; protocols to the upper-level systems Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RTU and IEC 60870, with active/reactive power adjustment and export limitation. Power supply 100-240 V AC or 12/24 V DC, dimensions 225 x 160 x 44 mm, weight approx. 1.85-2 kg, IP20, -40 °C ... +60 °C, maximum altitude 4000 m, wall / DIN rail / desk mounting; integrated surge protection, USB 2.0 port, WLAN access point and status LEDs.
Suitable for a PV plant on a building, commercial or industrial, with several SUN2000 inverters and reporting or power limitation requirements from the grid operator.

Specifications confirmed from the manufacturer's datasheet
Huawei SmartLogger3000A01 (code 02312SCU-004) is the data concentrator for commercial and industrial PV plants. It collects information from SUN2000 inverters, energy meters, weather stations and other compatible equipment, stores it locally and transmits it to the FusionSolar platform or to a third-party SCADA system. The A01 version is the one without the MBUS module, communication with the inverters being done over RS485 and Ethernet - the usual solution for building installations, where data transmission over the direct current cable is not used.
The unit manages up to 80 devices and has three independent RS485 channels with support for the Modbus-RTU, IEC 103 and DL/T645 protocols; the manufacturer's recommendation is not to exceed about 30 devices on each bus. On the network side it has a WAN and a LAN port, plus an SFP optical port for long distances or environments with interference. For automation and commands from the grid operator, 4 digital inputs (DI) for dry contacts, 2 digital outputs (DO) and analogue inputs of 0-10 V or 4-20 mA are available. The protocols supported towards the upper-level systems include Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RTU and IEC 60870.
The power supply can be 100-240 V AC or 12/24 V DC. The enclosure has dimensions of 225 x 160 x 44 mm, a weight of about 1.85-2 kg and an IP20 protection rating, mounting being possible on the wall, on a DIN rail or on a desk. The operating range is -40 °C ... +60 °C, at altitudes of up to 4000 m. A surge protection module, a USB 2.0 port for configuration and data transfer, a WLAN access point for commissioning and status LEDs are integrated. The SmartLogger allows active and reactive power adjustment at plant level, including export limitation according to the distribution operator's requirements.
