Description

It is the brain of a system with panels and a battery for a single-phase house with high consumption. It splits the current between the home, the battery and the grid and can take over the supply instead of the grid when the latter fails, without the appliances stopping. It has three separate inputs for panels, so the roof can have three zones with different orientations, each tracked independently.

The 10.000 W support simultaneously the large loads of a single-phase house. The 200 A current towards the battery means you can draw from the battery, roughly, almost the entire power of the inverter, so at night the home works just like during the day, not only with the lighting. Up to 15.000 W of panels can be mounted, with two strings on each of the three MPPTs and 22 A per input, enough for modern bifacial modules, which give a high current. The IP65 enclosure allows outdoor mounting, but the device weighs 48,84 kg, so it is mounted by two people. Monitoring is included, through the integrated WiFi/4G/WAN datalogger.

10.000 W AC, single-phase 220/230/240 V, 50/60 Hz. DC: 3 MPPT with 2 strings each, maximum voltage 525 V, start-up 130 V, MPPT range 150-450 V, 22 A maximum current per tracker, maximum PV 15.000 W (DC/AC 1,5). Battery 48 V, lithium or lead-acid, up to 200 A charge and discharge. Maximum efficiency 97,5%, UPS with switching of approx. 10 ms on the back-up circuit. It supports DC-coupled, AC-coupled and retrofit architectures, plus charging from a diesel or gas generator. Type II SPD on DC and AC; IP65, 440 x 883 x 254 mm, 48,84 kg, -25...+60 °C, intelligent cooling.

Who it suits

Suitable for a single-phase house with high consumption (heat pump, electric water heater, workshop), which wants backup for the whole home and a battery bank used at maximum power.

Terms explained

  • MPPT: The input for a group of panels, with its own circuit that looks for the maximum power point; three MPPTs mean three roof zones handled separately.
  • Type II SPD: Surge arrester, the part that takes the voltage strikes from the grid or from nearby lightning, so that they do not reach the inverter.
  • DC-coupled / AC-coupled: Two ways of connecting the battery: directly on the direct current side, next to the panels, or on the alternating current side, over an already existing installation.

Technical details

Series-level specifications — valid for the product family

Growatt SPH 10000TL-HU is the single-phase hybrid inverter of 10 kW from the TL-HU generation, with a low-voltage 48 V battery and three MPPT trackers. The DC side accepts up to 15.000 W of modules (DC/AC ratio of 1,5), maximum voltage 525 V, start-up voltage 130 V and MPPT range 150-450 V, with 2 strings on each MPPT and 22 A maximum current per tracker, enough for modern high-current bifacial modules.

The 48 V battery (lithium or lead-acid) supports charge and discharge currents of up to 200 A, which allows the full use of the inverter power directly from the battery. The output is single-phase 220/230/240 V, 50/60 Hz, 10.000 W, with a UPS function and switching in approximately 10 ms on the back-up circuit. The maximum efficiency is 97,5%.

The inverter supports DC-coupled, AC-coupled and retrofit architectures over an existing photovoltaic installation, as well as charging from a diesel or gas generator. The protections include type II surge arresters both on the DC side and on the AC side. The IP65 enclosure measures 440 x 883 x 254 mm and weighs 48,84 kg, with operation between -25 and +60 °C and intelligent cooling; the integrated WiFi / 4G / WAN datalogger ensures monitoring in the Growatt platform.
